L’idée de sculpter et mouler des corps de femmes m’est venue il y a bien longtemps, dès mes premières années de pratique de la photographie.
Les années passant, j’ai cherché comment mettre davantage en valeur la beauté de la Femme, dans la diversité de ses paysages.
Je lui rends hommage à travers mes sculptures, en m’inspirant des peintures de Botticelli et des sculpteurs de l’antiquité grecque et romaine, notamment d’œuvres telles que les Cariatides.
En accord avec mes modèles, nous travaillons sur des poses dont la sensibilité et la sensualité peuvent interpeller autant les hommes que les femmes.
J’ai souhaité les parer de toutes les couleurs et les envelopper de feuilles d’or, symbole, à mes yeux et dans mon esprit, de ce qu’elles provoquent dans le cœur des hommes.
Gaïa, notre Terre-Mère, a accouché des femmes pour qu’elle embellissent la Planète… et la vie des hommes !
En grand romantique, je suis un éternel amoureux de la Femme : ces sculptures sont un hommage à la beauté de leurs corps bien sûr, mais aussi de leur âme.
Ce qui importe à mon œil de photographe, c’est de saisir le détail : ces sculptures sont des gros plans des corps de mes modèles, ensuite sublimés par la peinture, les couleurs, les feuilles d’or fin.
Comme pour capturer l’instant, le souffle en suspens, la pulsation du sang sous la peau...
Comme un voyage à travers ces courbes douces, parfaites, harmonieuses…
Un voyage au long cœur.
The idea of sculpting and molding women's bodies came to me a long time ago, from my first years of practicing photography.
As the years passed, I looked for ways to further highlight the beauty of women, in the diversity of their landscapes.
I pay homage to him through my sculptures, drawing inspiration from the paintings of Botticelli and the sculptors of Greek and Roman antiquity, particularly works such as the Caryatids.
In agreement with my models, we work on poses whose sensitivity and sensuality can appeal to both men and women.
I wanted to adorn them with all the colors and wrap them in gold leaf, a symbol, in my eyes and in my mind, of what they provoke in the hearts of men.
Gaia, our Mother Earth, gave birth to women so that they could beautify the Planet... and the lives of men!
As a great romantic, I am an eternal lover of Women: these sculptures are a tribute to the beauty of their bodies of course, but also of their souls.
What is important to my eye as a photographer is to capture the detail: these sculptures are close-ups of the bodies of my models, then sublimated by the paint, the colors, the fine gold leaf.
As if to capture the moment, the suspended breath, the pulsation of blood under the skin...
Like a journey through these soft, perfect, harmonious curves…
